• if a person cannot participate, can I take their place?

    No!  You are not allowed to use another persons registration to participate.  Each participant must have emergency contact information and sign a waiver.  There are NO exception to this policy. 

  • are donations to steps of success 5k tax deductible?

    Yes!  Steps of Success 5K is a recognized as a 501 (c) (3) by the IRS, thus we are dependent on donations from the public to support our cause.  Our federal tax identification number is 26-3906467.

  • when is the registration deadline?

    Online Registration ends September 4, 2019 at 8:00pm CST. 

    Race Day Registration is Saturday, September 7th from 6:30 to 7:50 a.m. 


    5K - $25 (Jan 1-Mar 31), $35 (April 1-Jun 30), $45 (Jul 1-Sept 4)

    5K Group (4 or More)  - $25.00 per person

    1 Mile - $15 (Jan 1-June 30), $20 (July 1 - Sept 4)

    Virtual 5K (Run Anywhere) - $35.00

  • what time does the event start?

    The 9th Annual Steps of Success 5K starts at 8:00 a.m. CST Saturday, September 7th, 2019


    5K Run/Walk Starts at 8:00am

    1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk starts at 8:05 a.m.

  • can I get a refund?

    There are NO refunds.  This no refund policy applies even if the event is cancelled for any reason including inclement weather. 

  • what awards will be given out?

    We will present the following during the awards ceremony:


    Overall: Male / Female

    Overall Master's: Male / Female (40+)


    Age Category: (Top 3 Male / Female)

    0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-25, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

  • is there an age minimum to participate?

    There isn't a minimum or maximum age to participate.  Kids in strollers are encouraged to start in the back of the line.  Every participant must be registered due to  liability purposes.  Kids 12 and under are FREE. 

  • do I get a shirt or medal with registration?

    Early Bird Registrants for 5K and 1 Mile will receive Finisher Medal & Custom T-shirt (not guaranteed after July 7th). 


    There is a Finisher Medal for the 1 Mile participant.

    There is a Finisher Medal for the 5K participant.


    * Late registrants are not guaranteed a shirt or finisher medal on the morning of the 5K.  

  • where can I pick up my race packet?

    Pre-packet pickup will take place September 6th: Venue TBA


    Race Day packet pickup starts at 6:30 a.m. - 7.50 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018

  • is there group/team participation?

    Yes!  We encourage groups to form teams.  This is a great way to build unity through team building.  There are special DISCOUNTS for groups that register as a team.  Simply create a team name through the registration site and email co-workers, friends or family to join your team.  You can manage your team settings also.
